Class Description:
Basic Pistol is a shooting course that provides an introduction to a
variety of handguns and how to use them. This course is ideal for new
handgun owners, those wanting to learn about handgun ownership, or those
thinking about a new purchase. The course includes:
- Safe firearms handling at home and on the range
- Parts and operation for a variety of handguns
- Different ammunition types, function, and uses
- Handgun shooting techniques
- Hands on shooting skills ammunition must be purchased at Beavercreek Armory
- Handgun cleaning and safe storage
- Course includes handouts and book
- This is an official NRA course and includes a nationally recognized
course completion certificate

Basic Handgun Defense-
Student Price: $75.00 payable in advance of class + gun rental fees
( if needed) + ammunition.
Schedule: 3 hours, 6pm- 9pm

Equipment: Students will need to bring eye and ear protection, purchase 100 rounds of ammunition, and bring or rent a semi-auto handgun with at least 2 magazines or a revolver with at least 1 speed loader or moon clips. A notebook and pen/pencil is also recommended, to take notes.
Prerequisites: Very basic familiarity with handguns, free of criminal background, and legally able to own or be in possession of handguns.

Class Description
Basic Handgun Defense is a shooting course that provides basic skill for using a handgun in self-defense.
The course includes:
- Safe firearm handling at home and on the street
- Different ammunition types, function, and uses in self-defense
- Handgun shooting techniques that work under stress
- Multiple shots and multiple target techniques
- Reloading techniques that work under stress
- One handed techniques and shooting when wounded, skills
